Mix and Match Art
I love creating smaller 5x7" pieces like my Atomic Einsteins or my Bananas in a variety of colors. Ostensibly, they become more difficult to sell because why should anyone buy a 5x7"?
What I love to do with them is mix and match the colors, allowing the collector to create something new. It's their opportunity to create something. It takes the whole Marcel Duchamp theory of the ready-made to the next level.
It creates a new triptych in an order that no one else has created. When I created the Random Einstein project, I noted that it contained more potential permutations in a 9x9 matrix with 12 options for each space.
