Collection: Unexpected Delights

Carrots have always been an unexpected delight. Unexpected Delights is a collection of greeting cards (which include a packet of assorted non-GMO multi-color carrot seed), postcards, and prints featuring a colorful array of carrots.

* The word carrot may be related to the Latin word carus meaning “dear, or beloved”.

One theory of how these words are related is that carrots originally grew in the wild.

You would go for a walk, and notice the top of the carrot sticking out. You had no idea what to expect when you started pulling the carrot out of the ground. The harder you had to tug, the larger the root would turn out to be.

It was considered to be an unexpected delight.
